I’d like to believe that my style is effortless; I always go for the look that says “Hey I just threw this on, but it looks good”. Sort of a style homage to Gossip Girl’s Serena Van Der Woodsen. But don’t confuse that for being lazy, though because I’m not, I swear.

I recently bought this kimono that fit within my budget of just around $20. I found myself leaning more towards the grey palette, since I’m in this ‘grey phase’ right now. Anyway, I’ve been on the hunt for a longer kimono that looks a bit more dramatic than my other one and I've finally found it! I know, it's some pretty exciting news.

The day I wore this out, I was actually pretty surprised to receive a lot of compliments on it! So safe to say, it was also a bit of an ego boost for my sense of style. I love throwing this on top of a really simple outfit, as it adds drama and the grey floral pattern gives it a sense of elegance. I’ve even worn this on top of grey leggings, Adidas slides, and a white tee on a recent weekend trip to Niagara. So I’d say it was a pretty good budget buy. I'm definitely going to be wearing this all throughout the summer, so you're already warned if this pops up again in other style posts!
