So I’ve been saving this post for a while. Why? I really wanted to test out how L’Oréal Professionel’s new Hairchalk could hold up with my hair. And after trying out this pink ombre done at the famous Fiorio downtown, I have to say this might be my summer look this season!
So on a kind of cold, teasingly warm winter day I attended L’Oréal Professionel’s Hairchalk event at Fiorio on Bloor St, downtown Toronto. It was L’Oréal Professionel’s event to showcase their latest product, Hairchalk. Which, despite its name actually works more like a hair polish. Depending on how dark your hair is the colour washes out with shampoo after two to three washes for darker hair and about six to eight washes for lighter hair.
Coming in many different fun colours for the summer: Sweet Sixteen Pink (my personal favourite), First Date Violet, Blue Ocean Cruise, Garden Party, and Coral Sunset, Hairchalk gives you a fun chance to try out crazy colours without any permanent change. For those who still aren’t brave enough to try out crazy colours, L’Oréal Professionel also offers more natural shades like Bronze Beach, Coffee Break, and Black Tie. Again, giving people the chance to experiment with different colours both bold and neutral before taking the plunge into permanent hair colour.
Originally, I opted for a more subtle tone but took the plunge when the stylists mentioned a pink ombre that would feature tones of purple, light pink, and dark pink. As they easily applied Sweet Sixteen Pink to my hair, I was finished and styled within minutes. The result? An amazing ombre complimenting my blonde hair and I got to finally try out a “crazy colour” without anything permanent! I’m honestly a fan of this product because it’s an easy application, washes out after a few shampoos, and it gives me the ability to experiment without anything too permanent. A huge thank-you to Erinn from 1Milk2Sugars PR for the invite! I can’t wait to rock this look during the summer!
